I'm a mere art hobbyist, so I try to get the most bang for my buck. (See the Lonewall article on Getting Good Art Supplies Cheap.)
Even so, my wallet occasionally complains about some purchasing decisions.

Pixelformer - upscaling, minor edits, .psd conversion

Digital art, comics, animations:
iPad Pro 12.9" (4th Generation), ES2 "Suplex"
Procreate - general art, edits, etc.
ToonSquid - animations
Krita - quick .PSD edits/studies
Paint.NET - great for rapid fixes to scanned images
Site best viewed at 1024x768 or larger. It's responsive...ish.
